the workflow

What making a video looks like in CoAnimator

  1. 01

    Brief it

A paragraph in plain language: what the video shows, who it’s for, the tone. No keyframes, no curves, no canvas.

  2. 02

    The agent writes the scenes

Your agent (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, OpenClaw, or the one that ships with the studio) writes scenes onto the templates. You can open those files later.

  3. 03

    Narration lands timed

The TTS plugin reads the script and places every line on the timeline where it belongs, so animation beats and voice move together.

  4. 04

    Review on the stage

Timeline, media panel, live stage. Steer with feedback — “slow the intro”, “swap that screenshot” — and watch it hot-reload.

  5. 05

    Render anywhere

In-app or headless through the coa CLI in your release pipeline. Unlimited local renders, clean exit codes for CI.

Jitter's canvas does craft well. Script, voiceover, music, assembly and publishing happen somewhere else, metered per editor and per credit. CoAnimator puts those parts in the licence.

FAQ

What is the difference between CoAnimator and Jitter?

Jitter is a web canvas where designers hand-animate motion design: import from Figma, keyframe logo stings, social loops and UI motion, and export video, GIF or Lottie. CoAnimator is the agentic animation studio: AI agents build narrated product videos, demos, launches, tutorials, from a brief. Bring Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or OpenClaw, or use the one that ships with the studio.

Is CoAnimator a good Jitter alternative?

If the job is Figma-to-motion, logo stings, or Lottie, keep Jitter. CoAnimator’s job is an AI agent building complete product videos with script, narration and effects as editable files, rendered without credits on your machine.

Is Jitter free?

There’s a free tier: unlimited drafts, 3 workspace files, and 720p/30fps export with a watermark, plus limited AI credits. Everything past that is a per-editor monthly subscription, and AI usage is metered by plan credits. CoAnimator is free at 720p with the full studio, and a one-off licence unlocks 4K — no seats, no credits.

Do I need design skills to use CoAnimator?

No. Jitter assumes a designer at the canvas. CoAnimator assumes a director describing the video while the agent handles execution, drawing on templates. Designers still get full control — every project stays editable — but taste comes from templates and direction, not from keyframe-level craft.

Can CoAnimator export Lottie like Jitter does?

No — Jitter exports Lottie today and CoAnimator doesn’t; Lottie export is on our public roadmap but has not shipped. If Lottie files for your website or app are the deliverable, Jitter is the right choice. CoAnimator’s output today is MP4 video, rendered locally at up to 4K60.

When is Jitter the better choice?

Choose Jitter for designer-led motion design close to Figma: logo animations, UI micro-interactions, social loops, brand assets, and anything that must ship as Lottie. Choose CoAnimator when the deliverable is a watchable video with narration and structure, built by an agent and revised by conversation.

Can I use Jitter and CoAnimator together?

Yes. Animate brand assets in Jitter and export them as video. Those exports drop into a CoAnimator project as ordinary assets, and the agent builds the narrated film around them.

Does CoAnimator meter AI with credits like Jitter?

No. Jitter’s AI features are metered by plan credits. In CoAnimator, the agent is yours (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, OpenClaw, or the one that ships with the studio) and paid services like TTS run through plugins on your own API keys, at provider price.

No keyframes or credits.

Describe the video. AI agents build it scene by scene. Every project stays editable and renders on your machine.
